Rear swing arm protection etc.

SSsp swing arms, what if anything is avaliable besides welding tabs/brackets for crash protection/rear spools. Also is anyone heard of or understand what I mean by shark gaurd (chain/sprocket protection, well to protect me from them in a crash)? Curious if anyone has put this on there track bike etc. Pictures would and manufactures would be great for any of the above parts in relation to a supersport. Oyeah and I am refering to the later style carb swingarm or early FI swingarm

I was able to fit Rhinomoto axle sliders on my small axle Monster which is the same diameter and length as the early SS.

There is a burr in the middle of the hollow axle- so we had to run a long drill bit through to knock it down. The item is not on our new website yet.
Contact Sales@motowheels.com if you are interested. Matt knows which one it was that he used.

Thanks for the information. I am not saying you are wrong but doesn't the monster pictured have a 25mm rear axle. The bearing in the bst rear wheel looks like the inner race is pretty big, since it is visable. The link is helpful also but it sates that they are for 25mm axles as well. I think the axle nut for the rear axle on the carbed ss is 17mm. I know that the steel swingarms us a 10mm allen so the axle is inbetween 10-17mm I would guess. I can take messurements when I pull the rear wheel.

If you contact Steffen at Rhino directly I am pretty sure he can set you up. Very easy to work with and responds to emails quickly. Just because it is not on the site doesn't mean he can't make it up for you.

That is my 96 Monster. It had the small axle just like my carb 98 SS FE.
Monsters after 2002 had 25mm rear axles.

The piece we used was designed for the 25mm axle--but we were able to fit it after we took the burr out of the middle of the hollow axle. The axle MFG drilled it from both ends--and they don't always meet in the middle.

We ran a long drill bit through it and knocked off the burr so the rod that connects the two sliders slid right in.

Thanks for clarifying the axle stuff on the monster pictured. It looks like I need to make phone call.

Thanks to Nick at motowheels. Order the sliders and a few other things today. Hard to reach on the phone but top notch service and quick to respond to emails.

Well the parts showed up in plenty of time. Unfortunately the rear axle sliders where to long for the supersport. IMO the sliders from Rhino moto are not as nice as others I have had in the past. This is just my opinion and nothing against anything or one at motowheels. There service is excellent and they tried to help unfortunately the parts didn't work for the application and the sliders hopefully can be returned or exchanged for something else. When I get a solution to the rear axle I will post the details for those who are interested.

No problem on the return.
If you need a shorter rod--let us know. Usually we can get Rhinomoto to make one - or we can measure the other rods that we have in stock and swap you.

We also have Motovation sliders in stock--we can check the length.
