1995 Supersport 900 ss/sp My freshly modified SS, Pictures included!

Some of you know me, and know that I have been building a trailer queen 1995 Supersport 900 ss/sp lately. Anyway, here are the details about my bike, and what I have modified and updated to bring the bike somewhat up to speed and increased drivability for the street. If anybody needs specific directions or pictures of the bike, just let me know and I can post them or send them to you. I wanted this to be an informational post, but I will just let the pictures do the talking.

I want to first thanks Stephano at Motowheels, Rick at Cogent Dynamics, and LT Snyder at Desmo Times for working with me on getting parts for my bike, and continued phone calls to solve any problems that I have had. Any Ducati owner should buy stuff from these folks soley based on the customer service that you will receive. You cannot put a price on that.

That really is a pretty sweet set up. Looks bad ass with the high exhaust.

Dude, I'm some what of a semi-pro detailer (in my mind anyways) and from those pictures, the paint on that thing is gorgeous. Original or did you get it repainted?? Looks phenominal!!

Nope, the bike is completely original, except for all the goodies I have added of course.

The Corbin seat is essential, since the stock seat is so horrible. I couldn't even ride the bike 10 miles without dying of discomfort. Now I can ride all day.

The only things I would add (if it was mine!) would be: Nichols flywheel and FCR's
The flywheel is like getting 10+ horsepower for free ...and it makes the motor is way more responsive...

GREAT BIKE!

Beautiful!

But, you simply must, must, must get a set of the Keihin FCR41s, light flywheel and 39 tooth rear sprocket. In tight canyons or most road riding, you'll keep up with anything and I just can't say enough about the Keihin carbs. Coming from the world of inline-4s where flatslides are a true race-only option that virtually cannot be set up comfortably for road use, I was a huge skeptic. That, combined with the price made me wait. I was wrong. It hauls everywhere now, and fuels great even at very low revs around town. I am simply stunned at how great they are.

Also, I chose the YoYo flywheel, which is a few grams heavier than some of the others, and I've experienced only excellent results with absolutely no downside in tractability whatsoever. You can mash downshifts too, because it spins up to match speed so easily.

Get the tail up as high as you can to get her to handle better. I maxed out the adjuster on my Ohlins (+12mm I think) and even pulled the forks up through the triple-trees 10mm. I'm even considering another 10mm on the forks, just to compare. I invested in a steering damper because I love how they feel, and so I wouldn't be concerned if I went a little too far experimenting with the geometry!!

Good luck! Keep us posted as the project evolves!
