She now has 8.2 miles on her. After taking so F'N long to bleed the clutch master I finally got to go take her for a spin. Holy Crap I forgot how much fun these bikes are. Ill post a little more in a few. Need to get her inside and its getting dark.

Alright, After a few hours of bleeding the brakes and going over a few other things to double/triple check everything I went on to the clutch bleeding. Holy crap did that suck. Tried reverse bleeding by taking a syringe and pushing new fluid up to the master and sucking the old out as it filled up. Still had a ton of air and no clutch action what so ever. So after waiting an hour and thinking about it for a bit i went out and pumped the lever and then loosened the banjo bolt on the master cylinder. Bingo!!!! nothing but air came out. After tightening it back up and pumping a few times the clutch came back. Bled it out a few times and was good to go. But by that time the sun was setting and only had time to run around the neighborhood for a few miles. ( no headlights or taillights yet) So after about 20min of riding around curvy roads and up and down in rpm/speeds, I realized how much I missed riding these bikes. I havent ridden a ducati/sportbike in 4 yrs. So after a few back and fourths on the straight roads I found the windy ones and had a little fun. Its just so much fun with this bike. Its almost effortless in turning once up to speed. The brakes are just insane!!! Grab just a little and its nice but pull beyond that and its abrubt. It did have the jerkyness and shrugging at low speeds, but it just part of the bike and that is something that makes it that much more its own....to me at least.
Its like a high hosrepower early muscle car. Sure its got a ton of horse power and it crazy fast in a straight line but going around corners is another thing.
Only this thing loves corners and high speed!!! So now as I right this I am only wishing I had a few more hours of sunlight so I can rap up a few more miles. Have to wait till another day I guess.
Once again thanks for all the compliments and kind words.

Well she is finally in her room and no longer in the dinning room, which = girlfriend a lot happier! Everything has been going great. No leaks or miss haps or any unknowns popping up.
Here are a few new pics. Also of the bostrom helmet.

Oh and never mind the exhaust hangers. I still can't find any gaskets that go between them and the cans so I used automotive masking tape to temporarily be able to ride it!!!! looks bad but will have to do till I can find some.

Your 996R looks great. Congrats on finding such a perfect example
We finally got our 996R project running after taking it down to the frame.
It is a blast to ride. I forgot how committed a riding position it was--but it sure feels at home at the track. It felt better than our 1098...
