Truely one of the best machines ever to roll out of the factory. Hand built and loved her whole life.
It is good that now she will see a few miles and some road time. I hate seeing bikes like this not ridden ever.
Congrats and love her like a daughter.

Very Nice!
Glad to hear you plan to ride it, at least a little bit.
I recently scored a similar bike, an 02 Bayliss Replica with only 1100 miles on it. It spent the majority of it's life in a living room. I now have about 350 miles on it. I love every aspect of it, as I'm sure you do yours.
I bought it, and like you did with your bike, before ever riding it, I took it to the shop for belts and a tune up.
Again, Very nice bike!

Thanks for all the comments.
Last night I was able to finish up putting the header in where the old hallway wall was so now all that is left is to drywall a few spots and paint. Then I can get the bike in the office and finally get everything situated for next week to try and get the bike started!!!!!

Belts are in. Cam covers are on. Just waiting on a fuel filter to come in. Wont be for a week till I get the filter. So looks like its time to do some serious detailing on the bike :-). Will post a vid up when I get her started. Till then I will just keep posting pics on the stuff im getting done.

Congratz on your new toy.
You may like to take note that after installing the carbon vented belt covers from the 999r the carbon V piece will not fit without modifications.
I did mine a year ago. Had to cut out a hole in the V piece to allow the air intake of the belt cover to stick out. I couldn't bear to cut the carbon so I bought a plastic one.
Please share if you have other alternatives.
cheers

Yep, I ordered another carbon v-piece. Just couldn't drill/cut into the original one. I shortened up the vent on the cover so it is flush behind the v cowl then drilled some 1/8 holes in a square pattern to allow air in. Pretty much unnoticeable when on.
