Oil gallery
Checked my valve clearences today, those closing rockers are a pain. Anyway decided to pull the cams and check the rockers and good news, no flakes in fact very little marking at all.
My question is this though, when i put the cam back in the head i noticed the oil gallery feed from where you pull the rockers does not line up with hole in the cam bearing housing, i am talking about the belt side and not the other side which does line up. Thing is you can only put it back one way, the way it bolts to the head. Don't know if this makes any sense but all comments are welcome.
Neil.

Just a guess but make sure that you have not swapped the vertical and horizontal heads accidentally.

I noticed the same thing when I assembled the cams back into the heads on my 916. I believe you have them in the correct orientation. Not sure why they dont line up though.

How long did it take you from start to finish to check your valves, pull cams, etc?

Once the bike was stripped it probably took about 2 hours, and then rebuild time. The lucky thing was none of the valves needed adjusting. It was easier to check without the belts though so you can spin the cams. Closers are still a pain.

I hate you...I had 9 flakers and had to start at ground zero on the adjustment!
