Thanks gents!
Updating project status a bit.
The idea is to have the project completed this fall and I pretty much have all the bits for it so its just a bit of work away.
New bits will be:
-Brake upgrade to 4 pad.
-Quickshifter.
-Traction and wheelie control.
-MPL slipper clutch.
-Engine fix up, at the tuner now, more details when its back and tested (low odds on that one yes, lol).
-New fairing and graphics, pretty much as stock sps but white number board at the front and black oil pan, then a 916 style logo on the side but the "Desmoquattro 916" altered to "Testastretta evoII".
Cheers Tom

Nice!
nice work dude!!!! ive a 08 1098 streetfighter s engine 207 miles on it and just bought an 03 748r frame so your build is of great interest to me! mine should be fun as ive no donor bike and must buy every bit. was gunna try it in my 748 bp but figured as i wanna upgrade pretty much everthing id be wasting a perfectly good lil duke. so im gunna start from scatch, stock pile the bits as i can afford em and put the bad boy together (which will be fun also as im no mechanic and dont even have a workshop!) but your build and another ive seen have inspired me so much i must have 1 !!!!!!!! so thank you, you've cost me a fortune and im running out of space in my bedroom loveing you work, please post hundreds of detailed pics (when you get time!) think im gunna go with an rs tank and air box as i hear that will work with a lil mods. did you look at that option? or know of any pros/cons that would arise compared to you solution? keep up the amazing work and posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cone angle on injector

And mounted straight on top of the stack that is true.
However I had the spraypattern checked out at an injector specialist and from that I could tell that it has really good spray and then how wide the spray is (cone angle), so from that I figured out that mounting it angled to the stack would work, see pic. (I also saw an Renault F1 engine having that setup so I think I actually added 50hp..lol..)
Fall is coming up here and I should have some more time to write a list of whats required to do this conversion, other than insanity...

Hello Tom!
I have now mounted the injectors and got thinking. Do you have the cone angle measured or info of it to share? Just want to check that I don't run into problem with spraying into the bellmouth wall on closest side .

I did it by eye, research wasnt too scientific regarding the angle so I dont have a specific number, even better try it out in real working conditions. Or get the DM mecccanica stacks with the injector holder and all, talk to Rune in sdk.

No pics of the whole bike yet.
Next step is put the engine back in and map it, once I get it back that is.
Then put all the goodies on, and THEN I'll have pics of it
I've been planning and buying the stuff necessary since last, Ive got the plan all clear in my head, soon its time to put it together.
Its been a bit quiet but I'm just filling up the mag
A pic of the MPL clutch and the traction control system is the best I can do at the moment, pretty impressing all the power goes throug that hub, getting emotional I see lol.

Today I got the DM Meccanica stacks and all I can say is they look fantastic.
From my previous tests a shorter stack will work better from the last torque peak and up, and with the kind of power the 1198cc is doing even stock more bottom end is not very interesting, these stacks are really well made!
And with these the front injector will clear the box, so double up.
Rest assured I will first dyno with the stock stacks and then the DMM's

The project got a bit more extensive than planned, wow I'm in shock...NOT
During I've had the time to fabricate a few more brackets needed and the engine is being built at the moment so hopefully in a month or so it can be dynoed.
