Last week I had put the battery on one of those mini-Battery Tenders and left it overnight. The little green light was on when I went to check it the next morning. I'm starting to question the value of the mini-chargers and wondering if using that type of charger should be done for a couple days rather than just overnight.
Great! Just FYI though. When my battery on my 10R did this it took a full charge at the local dealership and they told me the battery was good to go. So I asked if they could put the battery back on my bike and keep the bike overnight and try and crank it first thing the next morning because I didn't want to get stranded again like I had previously. So the shop called me the next morning and the bike cranked but then the digital screen went blank and the bike died after about 5 minutes of running idle. They put a new battery in and I've had zero problems since. I may be wrong about this but if one cell is damaged in the battery it'll still take a charge and then test as good but the life of it is about like that of a radio controlled car = 30 minutes. Just be careful and don't get stranded. It could still need a new battery.

That is a very astute question. The bike actually was in my son's living room. And, I think there was a long period of time when it was not on a tender. Since I got it back after the battery charge the other day it has been problem free. We will see how it all unfolds i'm sure.
