speedymoto frame sliders

ive done a good amount of reading here and i was wondering if the verdict still remains the same or if anyone has any other opinions on this.

I am looking to get a new set of frame sliders and I wanted to see if under the fairing sliders are still considered to be superior to the through the fairing sliders that speedymoto sells.

Reason being that I have a new right fairing to install on my bike and my current left side fairing is sporting an unknown through the fairing slider. Im thinking it may be cheaper to just cut my new fairing and get speedymoto through the fairing style sliders but heard that they can put your frame at greater risk and also increase the chances of your bike flipping rather than sliding.

Any input on this would be great.

Thanks!

I´ve seen some prttey bad offs and those with underbody sliders usually have less damage then the throughbody sliders.. Go figure!

The reasoning is that the slider protects the important stuff, but since the bodywork is going to be toast anyway, let it slide on that. Plus the chance of the slider ripping out apart of the frame is lessened

I have had atleast one crash get WORSE because of the sliders! I will definatly go for underbody next time.

Good to hear. I bought the underbody sliders this winter but haven't yet mounted them. Now I need to get some track plastics. Can't risk messing up the factory SPS fairings--never see those on ebay. $$$$$ Yikes.

Speedymoto makes very beefy sliders. It is the best ones that I have seen so far.
We sell other brands, but it is the only one I use on our project bikes.

I use the speedy Moto underbody sliders and I love them. I think they really save the bike. Fairings are going to take a beating regardless so let the bike slide on the smooth surface of the fairings while the underbody slider provides support to keep everything else from taking a beating! I've gone down twice, once in the grass and another time on the track surface and the bike stays on one side with minimal no real structural damage at all. I just ordered a replacement puck set yesterday

I'm a believer in under body sliders. Ran off into kitty litter (brake fade!) in turn 5 at RA with only some surface scratches to the fairing. Had they been through body sliders the pea gravel would have collapsed the fairing around the slider and cracked it. As it was the slider supported the fairing and the weight of the bike with only surface scratches.

Moral of this story is fast tracks like RA require racing type brake pads that wont vitrify under extreme braking conditions. I should have known better - lol

the best solution for me

For me the best solution (it's patended) are the Lightech Frame sliders. On every bike that i've had I've used Lightech. For only one time I've tested: frame was ok and I've changed only one piece of the silder!
