What year bike do you have and where are you located ?

You might want to try a FIM222 single injector eprom. It is made for this type of set up.

I have one that I took out of my 2000 996. It worked great but I found a different chip that I like better.

Do you still have the FIM 222 chip - are you willing to sell it?

I'm going to hang on to it for now...
I've only got about 120 miles on the new set up.
I'll probably put it up in another month or two as long as the bike is still running good with the other set up.

Right now I have a FBF stage 2 eprom.
I have tried the FBF stage 1, FIM196, FIM222, and the FBF stage 2. (in this order)

I used to swear by the FIM222 and would never change but I ran into one of the highest regarded mechanics in SoCAl and he suggested something different with the option to change back at no charge.

I would have never tried another FBF chip after the first one but the mechanic said he can get these bikes running really good with other chips. He promised all the qualities of the FIM222 eprom (smooth power all around and no chugging or surging at low rpm) BUT also a lot more pull from 6,000 rpm up. He tried the Ducati Perf and the FBF eprom. He said the FBF was better.

He was right ! (I admit, I was extremely skeptical)
I have all the low rpm smooth of the FIM222 but the bike noticeably pulls stronger from 6,000 rpm up. I only have about 120 miles around town and 1 track day on the new set up. I want to go hit the canyons before I claim victory on the set up BUT around town, freeway, and track day were all great.

From what I understand the FIM222 is a great plug and play eprom (even the mechanic said this) but if you can tune the bike for the eprom then you can get all the good qualities of the 222 setup with out losing the top end like the 222 does with some of the other eproms out there.

So far the mechanic was right but I still want to do a day in the canyons just to be sure it is better "everywhere".

OLD = FIM222 - Duc dealer set it up
NEW = FBF stage 2 - independent Duc mechanic set it up

I am not sure what the mechanic did to get the bike to run so good but it runs great, so far. I am not sure what the different adjustments are when setting up how these bikes run
