building a street 748/853 motor

This winter I'll be redoing my 748 motor. The plan is high output while maintaining reliability. To that end:

I already have a set of big valve heads (30mm/34mm) with fresh valve guides, timing adjustable pulleys and G grind cams. I think I'll use stock cams or at least something milder for longevity. Probably flow the heads too. May or may not switch to the MBP collets.

853 pistons. I know they weigh the same as stock so no additional stress on the motor. Is a boost in compression advisable if its kept to 12.5 or so? Are the 890 kits reliable?

Any other recommendations?

I'll be assembling the motor myself and have Corse in Wisconsin do the tuning.
