Anything wrong with riding a 748 naked?
the bike being naked, not me.
but yeah, anyway, im taking my bike in for service and i thought id do the guy a favor and just take it in naked. Is there anything i should be worried about when riding it like this?

I do this as well...may as well save him the hassle of pulling the bodywork, and I can store it safely.

Same here. I don't want to have to point fingers and say, "You damaged this...", so I don't give them the chance. But, to legally drive it, I put my nose piece on (signals), and my mirrors. It's a ST2.

I just asked my mechanic the same question (I was thinking of any exposed wiring etc...) he said no, and that he knows of one customer who's rides w/o the fairings. I have a ST3, next time I'll remove all the fairings prior to delivering it, which is a two hour drive. Of course I will look for anything exposed I wouldn't want the 70 mph wind speed to rip away. Actually I had planned on removing the plastic once I arrived at the shop but got there just as closing. Might even play Issac Hayes "Freedom" while removing the fairings.

Yes. It makes the bike lighter and it goes too fast.  I do the same with my 998. No worries.
