Instructions for Installing New Clutch Plates and a Clutch Basket_1999 748S

OK. I looked far and wide for detailed instructions/tips and could not find anything. Can someone please either send me a link, pictures with instructions, instructions....whatever.

I'm sure I can figure it out, but I want to be sure before I attempt to drive 2 hrs to the ducati shop and pay to get it installed.

Try having a look at this. 748 Clutch Upgrade - "How To" and pics As for pulling the plates out get a magnetic wand thing, looks like a telescopic old fashioned antenna - wonderful thing that is we would not be without one!

Try the Haynes book. It shows a detailed step by step process of how to replace the clutch plates with all necessary tools and parts. The book is a must have for anyone who wants to do their own work. Probably a good book for anyone who has a desmoquattro. You can get it via Borders book store or any other book store. Places like Borders will overnight it though. Good luck with the fix its pretty simple. Here's the link
