Hi all

I'm converting my 916 street bike for the track.
Riding on the streets in the Netherlands is boring and the speeding tickets are insane...don't ask me how I know.

But what are the most used mods for this bike? I have read something about increasing the crank case volume.
Brake master cylinder will be replaced for a radial brembo or accossato
And need to replace the rearset

Rear is replaced for an Ohlins
Ohlins steering damper
Forks will be serviced
Full floating brembo brake discs
15/39 sprocket setup
Carbonfiber fuel tank is @ painter
Carbon airbox
Carbon intaketubes
New clutch pressure plate and plates, springs
30mm clutch slave cylinder

I just received the MWR filter with the bracket

Fairing fresh from the painter.
Still waiting for the decals.

Brakes!

The Ballistic battery was a bit too thick. I couldn't install the fairing.
So I swapped it for 2 Ultrabatt Lithium batteries. Weight is around 1,2kg

I hoped to install these rotors (Brembo's).
Hole patern is ok, but the offset is +/- 1 or 2mm too much.
Someone knows where these discs come from?

Did my first trackday with the 916. Awesome bike! and gives lots of confidence.
Need to finetune the suspension, because the rear was too soft.
It doesn't feel like a bike from 1997.

Only negative about the bike are the brakes.
I use steel brake lines with a Brembo RCS. But the brakes are not strong enough and I almost pull my lever against the handlebar.
It kept me from going faster.

I cannot use sintered brake pads because the discs (cast iron) will wear faster then the pads.
Or I need to use the 996r/998 brake discs but then I will need a new fork and calipers.

Something is up, the two-potters should brake very well and not fade. I realise you have the cast iron discs and Im referring to experience from bimetal oem 996 discs. How about fitting a pair of those? Cheap and works well with EBCHH pads, if you cant find oem, EBC discs are well priced for replacements.
Four potters are even better in every way, so if you are about to change things this is a good time.

Bimetal discs, brembo master and EBCHH pads I race with and never fades, super feel and bite, discs lasts too, cheap solution if youre not into starbucks fame kind of bling thing :)
