999 headlight removal question

I am trying to remove the headlight and harness on a 04 999. I ran into a problem. On the left side there is a plug on the old harness which prevents me from sliding the harness out of the frame. THe airbox is in the way... is there a way to solve this problem without removing the airbox and without cutting the old harness. I plan to install a Ducati fairing stay and harness.

It should fit through there, its just very snug. Don't reroute the same way if you want to swap back and forth.

I loosened the radiator and was able to slide it out.
