Marchesini Wheels from S2r to 996

I picked up a pair of Marchesini wheels from a Monster S2r for my 996. Am I correct is assuming the front axle size is different, and I have to change the bearings The parts manual shows the same part number for 996 beaings all years, so do I just need replacement bearings and change over the remaining spacer and speedp drive from my current 3 spoke whels? Also, anone know the SKF or part munbers for the bearings so I am not paying $40.00 a pair from the dealer?

I just checked the bearings in my Marchesini forged aluminum wheel. They are SKF [Made in France] and the numbers on it are:6005-2RSH/C3. It's supposed to be a replacement for front Ducati 748, 916, 996 or 998. The bearing OD's measure somewhere near 47 or 48 mm. The inner race dia. is 25mm.
