Q. about Shift Tech rear hugger

I'm going to buy a new hugger to replace the one that just broke on my bike.
I'm interested in the Shift Tech one (short, with chain guard, '05+ 999 big swingarm), but I need to be sure that it will fit over a 190/55, with room for a tire warmer. Previous one needed quite a bit of modding to make it work.

I e-mailed Guido @ Shift Tech and he wasn't sure. Hoping that maybe somebody here has that hugger and runs it with a big tire to confirm if it will work without modification, or maybe uses it with a standard tire (180/55 or 190/50) and can tell me how much room there is between tire and hugger. Rim is stock 5.5
