Not to be rude, but this topic has been discussed a million times, I would suggest using the search button

Highlander,
I've done a fair share of research on this subject, I'm in the same boat. You have a PM.

With out breakin the bank this is my Bi-Posto with the Ducati Performance (Via dealer) seat cowl that only replaces the seat cushion, I love it. 300+ or - depending on where u can get it.

That doesn't look bad at all! I've been married for 12 years and therefore am nearly dead from the waist down, so I have no need for anything but a monoposto, but for you guys who are still swinging chickies, that looks like the heat!

I just bought one of these and meshed the vent holes with similar mesh to the seat intakes. I had to rob a lumber pad off a DP seat cowl I have and I still need to get it to paint (getting it done in white to match my tail). I will say that the fit is far better than the DP piece. The pricing is about the same Euro vs. Dollar. Mine was cheaper (200.00+s&h) because it was scratched and missing the lumbar pad, plus they sent me a billet oil plug to make up for the missing pad.

Highlander,
I though I would NEVER say this, but fill out your info so we know what bike you have.
I did the full mono conversion, I am way happy that I went this route. I knew if I just went with the Ducati Performance tail piece, I will never be completely satisfied.
If you have a red or glossy black Ducati, you can find the whole rear cowl easily on ebay. I had to go through some hard work trying to find mine, since I have a dark. I bought it off a member off this site from Australia. It was already custom painted to the dark paint.
Hope you get what you want.
Peace.

I agree with s4one.I've considered the GP tail piece , and the seat pad replacement , but nothing looks as good as the original single seat.Is it true that only a Ducati aftermarket subframe will fit without modification ?

i know there might be some 'fine tuning' involved, but what about just getting an Airtech or Hotbodies etc.. Solo tail section? i imagine you would just need to get it painted and possibly shave down the tube ends a bit for a better look but it might be an approach. That being said, i'll wait to see someone else do it b4 i buy one
Hey Mati-O, any storage capability under the cover? will a water bottle fit?

Not sure about Mati-O's experience but I ran the DP cover all summer and nope not gonna fit water in there unless its maybe a 6oz bottle, but it would be really tight and would make the holding tabs loose. It gets hot under there anyway so unless your using it for tea or coffee it would suck. I can put a pair of sunglasses in a soft case and the OEM tool bag from the fairing under the DP cowl. I usually keep personal stuff in the tool bag like keys, smokes, a pocket knife etc.
