Color Rite paint
Anyone use Ducati Red touch up paint from colorrite.com? I need some and was wondering what worked best from these guys, the pen or the bottle and brush? I have a few small chips on the front nose fairing from getting stuck behind farmers. Thanks guys.

Don't waste your money and time with Color Rite.
Go to Autozone and get a vial of "Dupli-Color Scratch Fix 2 in 1", color number TY 01560, Toyota Super Red 2 #3E5, touch up paint.
It is a DEAD-ON match for Ducati red. It's not close, it's EXACTLY the same, and it's a few dollars. Same color, same glossiness, same thickness. I just used some this afternoon to fix some nicks on my frame. One vial will last you forever.

I'll have to see if parts america or O'rileys has Duple-Color as there is no auto-zone in my area. Thanks Nov-R

I scratched the lower edge of the fairing (red 1098) on the wheel chock of my trailer. Tried the Color Rite in the bottle specifically for the red 1098 as per their web site. Horrible match. Two completely different reds. So I bought a new lower fairing. Can't have a scratch on my baby like that. It was pretty noticeable to me even touched up. I wasn't happy with the match of that touch up paint color. Had the wheel chock milled down so now more scratches towing. Might try that other stuff per nove-r when the need arises.

+1 for Color-rite (wrong) being trash. I spent $15 each for a red, white, and clear touch up pen and they all suck. The tips dry out and when paint does flow its clumpy. Avoid em.

Cheap Alternative
Testors gloss red model enamel; 1.39 a bottle in my hardware shop. Its a very very close match to Duc Red once its dried. Testors brushes are about 1.19 so your getting touch-up paint for less than 3.00. Also Testors Gloss White is a dead on match for Duc number boards.

Nove-R is Right
I just took Nove-R's advice and got the Toyota color from my local Checker's Autoparts store. Its an exact match for the red on my bike. Thanks for the advice.
