Exhaust Baffle fabrication question
Need to fabricate a set of baffles for my twin meg ARC pipes. I've been trying to get a set from Doug for months now with no luck and my patience is pretty much worn out.
I was thinking of sandwiching steel wool between two conical pieces of wire mesh (similar to the structure of a water filter) and then sizing them to the pipes. Is there an easier way to do this? (read: are there pre-made, slip-in baffles that can be modified to fit?) Can't seem to find anything online that's large enough in diameter. Need a little help!!
Thanks.

hey man,
i asked about it to Doug when i ordered mine. he said it's really hard to fabricate them later as it doesnt stay put. the vibration moves the baffle out..
by the way, i got mine.....they are insane....i love it....

Last time I spoke with Doug he said he came up with a new baffle that is bolted into place so it won't move. He was testing a set on someone's racebike a few weeks ago and promised to call me afterward... but haven't heard back from him again. ARC voice mailbox is full and I haven't gotten an e-mail response, either. Frustrating.
So, anyone have any ideas?

Go to any Harely shop or custum cruiser/chopper shop. They have bolt in baffles for the guys with open pipes.

Shouldn't be to hard to make. You can buy the perforated tube on ebay as a "race baffle". Stainless packing material as well. Only thing you would need is a flat piece of stainless sized to the outlet size, cut a hole or flange it, and rivit/bolt it in.
