Thats the size combo I ran on mine with the PP2CT's.. Loved them.. found out that they dont work so well on gravel... Who knew? They loved the road, they loved the track... Never tried the idea of different sizes.. I've always heard that going to the 190 in the rear made it turn in slower..? Not sure on that one. Try a search on here?

With the BST's the turn in should be even quicker than now !! But I am coming off a RC51 and kind of use to a slower turn in ( seems the slower the smoother for me ) but want the advantage of the lower MOI from the BST's. Can 190/50 be even ran on an 2006 749 ??

You can run a 190, but you have to run the adjustor way out, and run a long chain, especially if you are geared down. I don't see the point though.

what size are your BST's?

5.5" rear = 180
6.0" rear = 190

Three points come to mind...

1: I'd think you would be better off not trying to get your 749 to handle like an RC51. That's kinda defeating the point.

2: 749's aren't exactly know for their lightening fast turn in, so I don't think you should be worried.

3: Lower the rear, raise the front if it turns too fast. Tire profiles have a lot to do with this too. Don't run the wrong size rear tire to accomplish your goals.

BST's are are in between at 5.75 X 17 ( 180 or 190 ?? )

Chuck I understand that I shouldn't make my 749 into my old RC. Coming off that RC makes the 749 pretty quick in turn in. My RC had BST's also and made the bike handle just right. I am just trying to accomplish that same feeling and confidence. Also what brand tires and profiles can I use to slow turn in with the BST's mounted ??

Gotcha. Without knowing you or your background, I have to head to the middle, safe ground for advice.

K, next q...street or track primarily?
