Track Tail Section Assembly

Recently laid it down @ Barber in #1...rashed my lower and upper track fairings which was not that bad but scuffed the OEM tail a touch. Purchased a new full set of track fairings from E-Racing ($200.00 for race set up on ebay auction and they seem pretty decent for the money) and the tail section has no hardware (as expected) to mount. I figure I should take my stock stuff and mount it on to race tail section but I could use some pointers on drilling and fastening etc. Anyone know of a site with some instruction regarding tail section?

Tail Mounting

Morning to you, I believe that no matter what approach you take to mounting the rear plastic the front hinge remains the same. If you are reusing your stockseat, I would recomend placing the entire hinge assembly on the bike and aligning the body work(tail without seat) with the tank /airbox then marking the tail for drilling the mounting holes. As for reusing the stock mounting bracketry, I am afraid I would reccomend purchasing one of the much lighter and "neater" fiberglass rear mounting brackets. Xpecially if you are only using your bike on the track(you referred to track body work). I was able to pick one up for uner 200 on this site quite a while back. But new are available from several vendors including sebimoto, OPP, Motowheels ETC. Just be specific about what subframe you have as the fiberglass brackets are different for the steel biposto and the aluminum monoposto. Best wishes Brad

Tail Mounting

I appreciate the reply and info. I have a buddy who rides WERA and uses some 1/4-3/8 aluminum stock. I will just have to go at it and see what works best. Thanks.
