Race number boards xx9

Hello!

Does anyone happen to have a picture of race number board stickers for 749/999 series of bikes? I mean that kind of drawing or picture that could be used on sticker shop to cut the decals correctly?

The follow on question is, how hard are those to install? Seems like it would be very easy to wrinkle them up...?

Any first hand experience?

The Cut Grafix site has a page about installation. Never done it myself, but it seems that you spray the back with a weak soap and water solution, and slide the sticker around to position it. Then, you use a squeegee to press out the soap, and that also bursts small glue balls stuck to the back of the sticker, and sticks it. Sounds like a cool system. I'm thinking about grabbing one of those front number plates for my bike as well.

I have done vinyl number plates in the past but I wasnt pleased. It cost me less than $200 to have them painted on.

You also have the option to do what ever style number plate you want as a bonus.

Thanks for the answer but those don't help me at all. Maybe I just have to contact local sticker manufacturer... I need stickers for race fairing.

I did it...

I bought the cutgrafix one, and on the second try it was nice...however, I did have to cut a line at the bottom of the headlight, otherwise it bubbled...aside from that spot, it was perfect.

It really wasn't that hard to do, but took a good 2 hours...taking everthing apart. USE PLENTY OF WATER AND SOAP, SO THAT YOU CAN PULL IT OFF, AND DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN IF IT'S NOT RIGHT.

In my younger days I worked at a shop that did commercial paint/body work. Often the trucks had company decals that needed to be applied. The first time I sprayed the back of a very expensive cut graphic (using a mist bottle) I was thinking this is stupid I am putting water & soap on the back of a decal, the glue will never stick now. Well 1000 decals later and not once did I ever have a problem with a decal sticking. The correct mixture lets you slide the decal around for perfect position. A good quality sgueegee is essential (can be found at an auto/paint store). A heat gun on low worked quickly the installed sticker or a hairdryer is the final step to ensure all moisture is out.
