X2, very nicely done. Is that design a Ducati replication of some special model or did you design that ? Very sharp !

The red & green stripes are similar to the 996S; I changed the 996S red pinstripe around the white number plates to exposed carbon fiber. On the seat fairing I exposed the carbon fiber around the tail lights similar to 998R except I extended the carbon up across the center of the seat fairing. The tank layout I came up with myself to bring the graphics on the nose and tail together.

Congrats on a nice final product then, and one that is orginal to boot. I don't see many Ducs in my area so right now I have a simple small "ducati" decal on the windshield and and the frame ties off the frame for a nice clean looks....otherwise less a carbon hugger and license plate relo my 999 is stock. If I start to see alot of 999s I may think about some nice personal touch changes to make it different. Often when you deviate to far from the orginal design the bike looks less "ducati" They do have a flair as orginal, but your mods in paint were done nicely and you certainly have an orginal. Enjoy !

The polished/red wheels were part of my original idea, although it was not that easy to accomplish with magnesium wheels. The biggest problem was the fact that you cannot polish magnesium. I ended up having to powdercoat the wheels red and for the lips use a synthetic chrome. (cosmichrome - applied similar to paint) When they were finished they looked great but after a few months I had a problem with the rear wheel. The clear coat on the chrome peeled off. The painter agreed to redo it but I decided to scrap the idea. I then refinished them sliver/black and still wasn't happy. So I finally got the silver 10 spokes - for now they are going to stay all silver.
