first ride with new 54mm Termi
I put the "new style" '05 54mm system with ECU on my "old style" '04 749S.
There was almost zero clearance betweeen the down pipe and the swing arm. There are are now a couple of mms as the pipe rubbed away the offending aluminum. Who needs it any way. Nothing fell off, rattled or melted.
No flat spots up to 9500 rpm. After that I'm yet to find out. There is a very slight moment at about 1500 rpm which I only noticed with the bike in the garage.
Personality of the bike has completely changed. Revs up very quick, pulls really solidly from low revs, breathes very freely, intake has much more bark, exhaust note, though not loud, is entertaining. More power? Felt like it.
Dreaded stalling has returned though, but the idle seems low. Barely above 1000 rpm when hot. So maybe unrelated to the original stalling problem, but still a PITA.

My bike suffered from stalling after the installation of the Termi exhaust (slip-on only) ... the idle is just below 1k now, which I think is what is causing it. I will be adjusting the idle this week, and hopefully get good results. I'm looking to set the idle at right around 1200. will post result.

I too suffer from the stalling issue with a Termi half system ('04 749s). Dealer raised the idle, adjusted air screw (or something like it--less compression braking now), and performed cam timing adjustment but problem persists. Idle is around 1,200rpm.

I had the same thing happen to me. I did not have a Termi exhaust. The TPS has to be set correctly. My cam timing was way off from the factory. BCM set everything properly. I am not sure which specs they used. Tell your shop to take a look at Brad Black's site ( http://www.moto-one.com.au/performance/index.html). He is a guru and knows his Sh*t.

Its a pain. I went through all this. I had my cam timing set correctly then I got the 05 ECU installed and it ran perfectly. Now I'm back to square one.
What does TPS stand for?
I'll check out the web site thanks

TPS stands for Throttle Position Sensor.

Even though you installed an ECU that goes with the exhaust system, I still HIGHLY recommned taking in it and having the mixture checked/adjusted. They should also reset the TPS again to kinda 'match up' with the new ECU. Mine was running lean with the new ECU installed. I'm actually surprised you don't have any flat spots or anything before 9,500. Did you really lay in it?? That will reveal alot. If not, congratulations. Here's my dyno sheet from my PCIII & custom map. I just wanted to put this up to show you the air/fuel line with the 54mm system/ECU. The completely flat blue line is my custom map. Man what a difference. Guess the red line isn't too bad cause I have definately seen worse. The rest of my motor is bone stock so your's would be similar I would guess.

Thanks galaxy. I do need to go out and ring its neck to know for sure, but so far so good. True test will be the track which probably wont happen 'til the end of Feb. Good Advice. I'm definitely going to get it all sorted, I wont leave it as it is. The stalling will drive me crazy.

Gains
I installed the termignoni with ecu and achieved pretty good reults. Months later, at the prodding of an evil mechanic, I had him put in a Power Comander and remap the fuel. The motor responds like a well behaved Bulldog. The most Ducati ever claimed for this motor was 150hp. Where'd this little pony come from?
