Maintenace schedule and prices for 1098?
First of all, forgive me for blabbing a lot, this will be my first Ducati, so I am trying to learn all I can. Also, what kept me away from Ducati in the past, was those dreaded and high price(to me)service intervals.
With that said, I asked my dealer to give me a maintenance schedule and some prices for servicing my 1098. He gave me this. Give or take a few bucks.
1st Service 1000 miles=$200
2nd Service 7500 miles=$350
3rd Service 15,000 miles=$700
4th Service 22,500 miles=$350
5th Service 30,000 miles=Yet to be defined by Ducati.
Are these reduced prices and longer intervals???

Hey Coleman. I usually hang out with Tanner at NESBA days (#1 Fogarty leathers). Glad you joined the forum.
The old intervals were 600 miles, 6000 miles, 12000 miles, etc. Also usually in the past I heard people getting quoted $1K for their 12000 service. So it does appear cheaper as well.
However remember if that will be a track bike purely those intervals will probably need to be less just like on older Superbikes. Usually for bikes people say cut intervals in half from what I have read.

what he said...
Yeah, a big +1 on that ! Best to be prudent and make it twice the quote if you are seriously planning a budget. Who knows what wickedness is in the heart of your untested dealer. ( In my book they get to prove their credibility.)

Hiya, you know I grenaded the RC51, and my taste for another Vtwin was killing me. They came out with this bike for me.. So, I can get another Vtwin! Those past ducs were a little too rich for my blood.
Anyway, my 600rr is taking over all track and race duties as of now. However, if the old man pushes it up a couple notches this season, and I start blending in on the Duc, I put her on the track, even if it is just to pass Tanner!!

Yeah I heard the bad news about the RC. Sorry to hear about that. But the good thing is you're ok. The 1098 sounds like it's gonna be a great bike. Tanner's gonna love having another Duc to ride around with.

Be carefull of shops and prices. They always change. For example Ducati says in the book a valve check and adjustment is 4 hours long. But the dealer charges another hour + .5 to remove the body work and reinstall it. The new motors seem a lot easier to do a vavle check compared to desmoquattro.
