Why oh Why did I buy this

Coz I just love Ducatis
Tried other makes and what you see in the picture is actually really enjoyable.
New Belts
Valve Adjust (almost all the closers)
New Air filters (Plugs were black due to clogged filters)
New Plugs
Oil and filter
clutch/brake fluids and coolant
Everything else checked

Roll on summer trrack days and the excuse to stay on one forum with lots and lots of great advise. Now I can lurk in ST and SBK

Are you sure it's a Ducati Superbike? What's that red contraption on top of the motor? And the round thingy with six caps? The tail pipes seem too close to the seat also.

The red contraption is the new Spring Loaded Under Seat Hydraulic Ejection Device or SLUSHED. It's a new safety feature found only on Ducati Superbikes that uses active exhaust pressure to charge the system. The round thingy with the six caps is the gyroscope, of course, so when the rider is ejected the bike will maintain it's orientation. DUH!

It's a prototype from Skylab. Early T1000 models. The four switches on its skull is a dead give away.
