1098 on display at the Seattle Motorcycle Show
I forgot to take my camera, but it looks like the photos on the Ducati website. I saw Arun of Motocorse in Portland and asked him about the standard vs the upgraded ("S" ??) model. He said that the standard model is fine for street use. Motocorse is offering a special exhaust package which will probably be of greater use to the street rider and far less expensive than the extra $5 grand one would shell out for the S model.
Arun said that those who live near an authorized Ohlins dealer can have the front and rear Showas rebuilt with Ohlins innards at a fraction of the price of the $5K to upgrade to an S. I came away with the impression that only those who intend to use a 1098 for serious track time need worry about finding the extra $$$$$ for the S model.
