Good ol' Isle of Mann TT. I've got to get over there to see it one of these years before it gets legislated into nonexistence.

Great video, I didn't know what to expect. Saw the guy standind off the road in the turn and thought he was gonna get creamed. I've never seen a rim come apart like that before.

The rider injured was Robert Dunlop brother of the more famous Joey Dunlop the cause of his crash was the rear Marvic wheel breaking up i believe he received an out of court settlement for his injuries from his team and Marvic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Dunlop

Man, that is nuts. First thought that hit me was...

...I hope that wasn't a Marvic wheel (I have 'em).

How about that 160mph speed wobble. Incredible how those guys control their rigs.

I was lucky enough to go to the TT in 2000 and see the great Joey dunlop and Dave Jeffries in action, both of which are no longer with us. I came away with many thoughts but one more than any other..... Anyone who thinks they can ride fast go and watch the TT. Then go home to a dark corner and weep. If you do one thing in your life regarding bikes go see the TT.

Quite a poignant video.

Shows the late...Greats......Steve Hislop , Steve Ward , Simon Beck and Joey Dunlop.....RIP

Robert suffered horrendous injuries which nearly cost him his life and career but he did come back with significantly modified machinery (to cater for his disabilities) and has won TT's , Ulster GP's , NW200's....an absolute hero.

He does n't do the TT now as they scrapped his class....the 125's but his son and nephew race there...Robert is in their pit crew when they race.

Road Racing scares me witless - I've watched the TT a few times and went to the Ulster GP this year.
The Videos do not do justice to how skillful and brave these guys are.
