BMC MPX068 air filter kit information?

I want to buy a new set of air filters for my bike (748R) and was considering the BMC kit above (not the MPX038). Can anybody give me some information on this kit? Is it good, how does it install, and does anybody have any pictures installed?
I searched this forum and google last night for about 4 hours and could barely find anything. Everybody seems to buy the MPX038 filters which are only about $35 or so. The MPX068 kit is about $200 (give or take)... Is it worth it?
Thanks for any help!

Read up Shazaam's thread on filters in the hall of wisdom. If it were me, I'd go with the in-air runner-filters.

Thanks Namor, I have read all of Shazaam's info on filters.

I will definitely be staying with some design that filters in (or at) the runner location - But, I'm not interested in the stock 748 filter design. My decision is narrowed down to the BMC kit or this Pipercross kit.

As I'm typing this reply I just realized I have the subject title incorrect. I'm going to close this thread and start a new one with the correct information and try that.

I had the DP filter but they are just to thin a gauze for my liking, so I went with a foam filter set. BMC is a gauge set but I believe a better heavier weave than the DPs. I went with foam for better filtering and truthfully I can not tell any difference in performance on low or top end. They use a sticky tacky oil. I used the UNI oil and cleaner on them. The gauze take a K&N type oil.

I have the $200 dollar BMC filter kit on my 998 and it seems to be doing great. I live down a dirt road and so far there has been no dust inside the air box. Installation was easy. Drill three holes in the air box where the intake runners go in with the templates they give you. Then you bolt a plastic guide to the air box and slip the filters in them and your done. took me about 20 minutes.

My mistake, or maybe I am misunderstanding, I thought that the Pipercross fit into the stock filter housing/location. You want the stock filter location but not the stock filter?

Pipercross is my next filter. It's those and BCM that I have never used. Based on all the other filters I've run I like the idea of stock location. Problem is all the freaking screws in the runner.
