Ducati Moto GP color code
Hi there,
i have my race fairings ready to be sprayed and i am looking to find the color code for the Ducati red as used in the Moto GP bike.
I want to get that fluo red tone instead of the standard color used in the road going ducati versions.
Thanks for your help

I am not sure about this, but I think that is the same color used on all red ducati motorcycle. Correct me if I am wrong, cause I could be, but I think that the difference in color is from professional cameras and photographers and nice light around the circuits.
This is a picture taken to my duc, and I swear that in the right light the paint is awesome, almost gold-red

The D16RR is painted with a very orange version of red which is purportedly the same as the GP bikes. If you can get that colour code or perhaps view a D16RR with a colour swatch chart you should have the colour you're looking for.
This colour was chosen to make the bike look right on television which is all well and good since that is where most people will see a GP bike. However, in my opinion the near orange colour doesn't look as good as the Italian red used on regular Ducati's in the flesh.

Maybe this will help- it's from the colorrite website. I plugged in 2008 Desmosedici, and they give a code for the orange-red as well as a rec. base coat. I'm certain that the desmosedici color is a different red than "normal", not entirely sure how well the colorrite matches up w/ the GP bikes, but maybe it's a start...

The Duc MotoGP Red is Marlboro Red, not Ducati Red. Same as Ferrari F1

Correct. At least it's ONE of the Marlboro reds.

That Ducati gp11 red glows perfectly. Those bikes looked amazing in person at Indy last year. And it's definitely not the red used on their street bike.

I thought the red of the Panigale looked a little brighter than the others at the show. I wonder if it has the same as the GP11.
