WTB 2001 748R shop manual

called dealer and they said this is no longer available??? cripes!

I'm not after the owners manual or a cheap knockoff DVD.

Anyone have a paper copy, or advice to point me in right direction?

thanks,
Brianslions@tds.net

You can try a first year 749 manual. The motor should be the same if not very similar.

Nope. Completely different engines and chassis.

I have not had much luck finding a shop manual for a 748R. I use a Haynes manual for all of the torque specs on pretty much everything (except engine internals).

Prepare yourself... it ain't inexpensive. Then again, nothing with the Ducati name on it is... Ducati 748/916/996 Workshop Manual (DU914748998) | Pro Italia

748R Manual

I was able to order a service manual and illustrated parts breakdown specifically for the 2001 748R online as a pair of zip files. I then took that to a local printer and had them print and spiral bind the 275 page service manual. The printing was just under $30.
I could try to find where I bought it if you are interested.

yes, i almost went with the Pro Italia. then I found a paper copy. I feel like it somehow makes me 'that old guy' but I prefer hard copy over CD.

Place I found it was allmotormanuals dot com . it was only $10 cheaper, but looks like official red paperback. I should have in a week. wish me luck.

Sorry about the 749 reference. I wasn't paying attention. However, you can download the spare parts diagram catalog directly from Ducati.
