848 Evo motor in a base 848

Guys,

I posted a while back about my 08 848 motor which ended up having a main bearing issue and part of the crank as well. Anyway, i am looking at putting a slightly used 848 Evo motor in the bike. Is this a direct plug and play? Any issues like ECU differences, throttle bodies, oil cooler etc...? Anything that might not bolt up or carry over please let me know. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

Throttle bodies and manifolds are about 5mm larger inside diameter. you could likely make up any fuel needs with a Microtec, PCV, Bazzaz ect...the EVO ecu wont match your non-EVO harness so dont use one of those.

No offence, the base 848 is a better disposed engine. Evo +2 up top but 4hp less all the way up. Just my 2c.
