Camshaft ID

Bought a whole load of bits a couple of weeks back a lot of which I'll end up selling on again once I work out what it all is, been trying for a few days to identfy some cams, anyone know what these numbers are??

Inlet = VA-1C 6480/10

Other numbers on the same cam MTS 0739 and OF6223/2

I think the cam is for a 996r just because of other stuff that was with them, but I could be way off,

I can't help with the part number but VA signifies Verticale Aspirazione. Vertical Intake.

VA as above
VS Vertical exhaust (scarico)
OA Horizontal intake
OS Horizontal exhaust

Thanks, yeah I know VA / VS meaning what I don't know is anything about the cam, could be a really dull std cam or a nice performance item hopfully I'll find out at some point.

Had a similar question about a cam and the numbers stamped on them. Seems there is a top secret ducati index some where. Some one seemed to have some numbers. Just saying because what the manual gives as a PN is not what is on the dang cam. If we have this much trouble just getting that number I can not imaging getting lift, duration and overlap numbers which you could verify either install or V block it and use a dial indicator to verify numbers. Also important would be all the other dimensions. I just do not know that much about the ducati cams. Frustration for sure. Good luck though.
