12' Ducati 848 EVO Corse SE
Anyone know the production numbers on this bike? Is the 848 replacement going to be based off their newest Panigale chassis? To be honest not a fan on looks of the new Panigale!
How do the new Ducati's drive compared to their older brothers (9x6,998,748)? I'm a huge fan of the older ones but have not driven a newer one. The 848 EVO Corsa is the only Ducati that has caught my eye and in my price range since the intro of the 916.

The 848 replacement will more than likely be based off the 1199.
To be honest this special edition label of the 848 doesn't really seem that special. It's not a limited production. More like a final marketing stint to sell a bunch before the model gets replaced.
I had the 848EVO Corse SE on order until I saw the Panigale in person. Totally changed my mind.

There's nothing better looking then the 1098-1198-848 series....I don't like the 1199....I was going to buy a tricolour until I saw it, I then order the 848 Corse buy what you want but stop your bashing.
And yes the 848 Corse is special!

I'm not really bashing, just stating my opinion. It's a special edition, not a limited edition. Big difference.

They will make whatever they can sell or sell whatever 848 that are left over.
Clever marketing by Ducati. At the end of their model cycle they always make some sort of SE or final editions to clearout there left over parts bin. Slap some bolt on parts and give it a different paint job and call it a special edition.
I'm surprised there is no Ohlins suspension frankly. Traction control seems interesting though.

I left a deposit for one on Saturday. I cant really afford the extra $4k for the 1199 and I was going to buy a white 848 anyways. Might as well get one with all 3 colors and some extra goodies.

It has an Ohlins shock. If you're in the market for an 848, it's definitely worth it for the goodies you get. DTC, Quick Shifter, Ohlins Rear, solo cowl included, cool paint job.
