PC III vs ECU remap

Hi guys,
I've got a 1098S, and I've also got a Dynojet quickshifter and Power Commander. I haven't fitted them yet...
So, the choice is, fit the PC or get the ECU remapped? Downside to ECU remap is I won't be able to use a quickshifter.
The bike only gets used on track, may race it later in the year.

Thanks,

Rick

My understanding is that a good remap is better than a PC as more can be altered to get the best result.

Does the quickshifter only work if there's a PC fitted? could you swap it for a brand that doesn't require a PC, or fit the PC with a 'zero' map just to operate the shifter...

Never thought of fitting the PCIII with 'zero map', not a bad idea. And the cost of the ECU remap is pretty much the same as setting up the PCIII, so nothing lost.

Anyone had issues with running a quickshifter? ie Gearbox failure(s)?

? are they gonna build a custom individual cylinder map for your ecu or just flash it with something close? With the pciii and a good dyno operator you map each cylinder separately from idle to redline at all throttle settings under load. Reflashing your ecu with a map built for a bike (not yours) may be good or may be not so good. Microtec / Nemesis build ecu's that give you the ability to program fuel and ignition and a utilize a whole bunch of other parameters.
