748S Dark Question
Did they sell the 748S Dark in the states? I will be buying an 01 748S in a few weeks that needs some TLC and I am in love with the 748S Dark look. Wonder if it would be easier/cheaper to have bodywork and wheels painted, or look for body parts separately? Doesn't seem to be much info on this particular model out there.

The OP is probably thinking of the 2002 748S in matte titanium, the best looking Ducati ever made. And yes, they were sold in the states...2002 only.

That would be the one! I always thought it was referred to as the Dark, but either way, that is what I'm hoping to replicate.

To replicate one you will need 2002 model cause side fairing are different. Good luck.
The original only 250 made and only 200 were shipped to the state. Matter of fact there is 1 for sale on craigslist of sc bayarea and the guy mention senna edition? It does appear as titanium grey. You may want to check it out. High miles though but rebuilt engine according to the seller

By the looks of it the only way to get this done will be to paint the existing bodywork. I'm not a huge fan of customs, prefer the OEM look, but I love that bike!
