12 848 EVO Corse or used 848

Hi y'all. Looking to purchase my very first Duc and i'm torn between going with a 2012 848 EVO Corse vs. going with a used 848. My better judgement tells me to go with the new 848 so that my very first experience with the brand is off too a clean slate but my bank account tells me to get a used 848 instead. Need some advice from riders who has a realistic opinion on the two. I commute and do occasional canyon rides. I already have a track bike (R1) so I'm not planning on tracking the Duc. What's your take? Thanks....

Not going to track an 848?!?!? That's nuts! The 848 is a street legal track bike.

Buy the 2012 848 Evo Corse and track it.

The Corse has some nice goodies and the paint scheme is growing on me... but I'd still buy used to save some cash.

If you need it now, I'd go with the used 848.

If you're willing to wait a few months, you'll find some used 2012 Corse's on Craigslist/eBay for a significant discount.

I say I'm not going to track it because it's a new bike but like anything in time, it'll be "used" and then the urge to see what it can really do at the track will grow on me. Till then, it'll be my street bike.
I like the color scheme and am very interested in the traction control. But then again saving $$ is pretty darn important as well.

Get a used 848EVO, not a regular 848.
