Oil seen in TDC viewing window, OK?

I was just doing some winter maintence on the track bike (2001 748R) and I noticed fluid, looked like oil, in the TDC sight glass in the generator cover (left side of engine, not the oil level sight glass on right side of engine) when the bike is running. No fluid visible when engine off.

Is this normal, or should that be dry in there with the generator and all? Thanks.

Oil on the glass is normal,the alternator shares space in there with the flywheel,sprag,ign. pickups, and shift linkage along with the gears that run the crossover shaft that runs the belts. All open to the crankcase.
