Exclamation 1098 Clutch lever stuck

background: i have always find it not easy to get to neutral or shift to 3rd gear on my 1098 track bike ...

today on the track it became so hard to get the 3rd and then all of sudden clutch lever is getting stuck not going in all the way in and returning very slowly ... i tried bleeding but i cant get it to work as it feels like there is something stopping the lever half way so i cant fully pull the clutch!!

any ideas what could be wrong?

Sounds like the Push Rod may be bent. Remove the Clutch Slave Cyl. And pull the Push Rod out from that side; roll it on a flat surface to confirm it isn't bent. Other than that, check your clutch pack to verify it is working properly. Could be some rust in there slowing things down. I would remove the pack and clean it up. Hope this helps

Thanks Spud, i have checked the rod and its perfectly straight however i seem to have found out what is causing the problem.. please see the photos below

the last clutch plate is going out!! i tried harder springs and it didn't help.

Does this mean my clutch plates are gone? any ideas on how can i sort this out?

Looks like you've got boatloads of rust on your clutch plates. Take them out... clean them with contact cleaner and I'd take the time to polish the drive plates on a piece of 120 grit mounted to a piece of flat glass... I'd bet money after you do this the stack height will be back within specs... do a search in the forum to see what the acceptable range is for the stack...
