I have an 848 evo and...

I was wondering what brand of exhaust to put on her. I mean I know almost all Ducati owners go for the termi exhaust, but is that really the best package? Plus should I get full system or slips? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

My opinion is that if you use the bike mainly on the street, not a dedicated track bike, a slip-on exhaust is more than enough. I have put Termis on my 1198, but I know that Akrapovic or LeoVince have good exhaust also. Personally I like the design of the new Termis more than AKA or LV. The difference in power between them I guess is not noticeable for street riding. For me it was the design that was matter.

I've been looking at a couple of exhausts and I really like the sound of the competition werkes slip on, but I understand that the termis come with its own ecu and whatnot. So my next question is how how is it to tune a different slip on?

MICROTEC M197/LEOVINCE SLIP-ON COMBO from Ducshop Products

This is our most popular kit for about the same price as the Termi but the Microtec is fully programmable and Leo's have top quality welds and great fit. We have a full system sale too.

Similar to the Termi but think the Competition Werks are louder as short mufflers usually are.

I liked the looks of the termis the best but they were just too expensive (for me). I went with the akrapovics on mine. I got the slip-ons and a filter for like $1140 shipped. They look good and sound even better. The quality is excellent also. Leo Vince is also a good quality brand (have one of their exhaust on my track bike), but didn't like the looks of the exhaust for the 848.

That's a good price. Where did you buy them from? Are you using your stock ecu?

Mark, would the LV full system....work on a 848 2012 EVO Corse that has stock QS & TC, obviously I don't have my bike yet......but should be here in a few weeks!

No because nobody sells an aftermarket ECU that will work. Everyone has the regular 848EVO ECU, so you'd lose QS & DTC.
