999 Track Tires

Anyone put a 200/55 on their dedicated track/race bike w/stock rims, how'd it work out? I'm needing new skins and leaning towards US NTEC slicks but unsure about handling on the stock 5.5 rim and possible clearance issues w/swing arm brake lines. I'm hoping for a little better grip but mostly longer life than US 211GPA's I've been running.

Pirelli Superbike Pro slicks

I have 4 track days on mine and they look maybe 1/2 worn. Quick warm up, stick well, no warmers needed. Last a long time too!

I have 200/55 on my 09 1198, I'm not even close to being fast but what I noticed the most is how much taller you feel and the lean angle is more aggressive. Not sure that info was what you were looking for, hope it helped.

5.5 rim.....180 is standard size....the Dunlop DOT GPA's race tires only come in 190 and 200 rears. The 190/55 is what you want for a 5.5 rim. The 200 is for 6 in rims.

+1 on that... a wider tire will only decrease your performance in the corners...
