Thinking about Switching my Gold Marchesini wheels for BST Carbon??
Thinking about Switching my Gold Marchesini wheels for BST Carbon Fiber Wheels.
Has anyone ever used these rims?
How would you rate them?
Any problems?
I'm not really looking for performance out of them just wanted to ad some bling to my Duc. I saw a set on a bike at Alice's at 4 corners in woodside Ca. and can't get them out of my head. If there is a better brand would like to hear about them. If anyone is interested in my Gold Marchesini wheels from my 09 1198s pm or email me mcflyz450f@gmail.com and we can talk.
Thanks for any info on these rims,
McFly.

Thanks, Marty.

I had some 7 spoke design on my 1098S and they held up to everything from track, pot holes, etc...

The 996-998R are my favorites! I recall seeing a 996 on display at a car show years and years ago, when they first came out....WOW!
Does the 996R come with the testastretta deep sump?
......regarding the BSTs, I like the look of the Marchesini wheel aesthetically vs. the BSTs, also a gold color wheel breaks up the look of the 1198 very nicely. BSTs have a certain "bling" factor though thats hard to beat IF you know what your looking at...

Yes, the 996R is deep sump and sand cast.
Actually I agree on the aesthetics. On this generation of bikes, nothing tops a gold 5 spoke Marchesini magnesium for looks.
