1098 head bearing issues?

noticed the notchy steering on the 1098s when i bought it. when i brought it to the dealer, they told me the head/steering bearings not covered under warranty! seriously?!?!

Probably because head bearings can be damaged by wheelies.

i highly doubt it knowing the seller, but always a possibility.
