996-slip on chip, 45mm, do I need one?

Anyone think I'll need one? I don't want to spend $200+ for one but will there be any consequence if I don't, or can I just score a $50-$60 off ebay? It's Arrow BTW, I know I know Termis are the way to go, just couldn't find them in 45mm for a budget price, thanks in advance ppl.

Arrows are excellent quality as well. Try to find an Ultimap UM222 chip, which cures the stumpling inherent in the normal twin injector operation. Assuming the bike has has the belts and valves done, after that you should be able to dial everything in by syncing the carbs and adjusting the trim. If you want further refinement, the next step is a Power Commander III and some dyno time.

Belts and Valves were just recently done, Ultimap UM2222, sync carbs and adjust trim - ducati dealer able to take care of that?

Also does this chip that seems to be almost extinct (lol) need to be single injector?

I just put a slip-on on mine and I do notice it runs a little worse with the stock eprom. I was going to get a single injector chip from one of these places

They're a little expensive for me right now, so I ordered a ducati performance eprom from ebay for $30 and we'll see how it works. If i'm not happy with that i'll probably go with the single injector mod, since ive only heard good things about it.

Well let me know how it pans out, that's the route I'm leaning towards too.

I got the chip from ebay and installed it. Idle is noticeably smoother, as is low rpm smoothness. Overall power may have increased as well, not sure. DEFINITELY runs better all around. Well worth the $40. Not sure I need the single injector chip at this point. Maybe if I get a full exhaust system.

The benefit of the single injector chip is primarily for low end smoothness, not increased power.
