Ok, I know im going to take some crap for this so dont be to hard on me, but will a 200mm tire fit on my 1098? I have done this on all my jap bikes but this is my first Ducati I just like the way the wide tire looks

and excessively wide rear tire isnt alway a good idea. To run a wider tire you need a wider rim. I dont know what size rim a 200mm tires is desinged for, but if its not meant for that application then it will mess with the handling of the bike. The reason is if you run a wider tire and dont have the right size rim the the tire will just buldge up making the bike sit higher in the back and not give you the proper contour the tire was desinged for. make sense?

The 200mm tire will fit. However the choice of a street tire vs. a race tire may not net your the "look" you want. If you are looking for a street tire with a rce tire profile, the Q2 will work. Otherwise you will get a tire that when spooned onto your rim is going to cause your bike to handle more sluggishly than you intend.

The new 1199 comes with a 200mm tire. I think there are a couple "wider" tires that are designed to maintain the proper profile.

I've heard there are new 190 tires that will work on my 5.5" 848 wheels, so I can see a proper 200mm tire working on a 6" wheel. Whether they clear your swing arm and exhaust is another matter.
