749 power commander

hey guys, a while ago a bought a power commander for my 749. The only shop around my area that can dyno my bike with the power commader wants to charge me $300. Is this a normal price for a dyno tune or should I keep searching for a better price or is that pretty much the norm?

DucShop here in Atlanta is $400, ducati specific. BUT we have a great AMA Superbike shop here too that will tune anything for $200. He just created a custom map for us, and gained 5HP off the tune we dowloaded from PC. He got 112 out of our 749s.

We are $249 for a map based off the exhaust out the tail pipe and another $99 for a dual cylinder map (a n individual map for each cylinder). Yes, the 749's have some of the worst maps Ducati makes so lots of room to improve it, especially low speed drive ability.

Well worth them making a dual cylinder map on the 749 so ask them to [Promote Map to Advanced] and sample the exhaust from each header fitting. A good tuner will know this.

Hi Mark, our map was done just at the tail pipe for both. The cost was higher as in your shop for the individual. How much of an improvement can be seen from going separate?

Here in California going rate is about $300.00. I got my r6 tuned for $250.00 but that was because I got a bunch of other work done also. It's also a very reputable shop by the way!
