Well mates, after almost 3 months of hell, the new and improved 748S is finally home with me. While at the shop, I had also ordered a bunch or other tasty mods and got them all installed the day I got it home.
I have posted elsewhere about my trials and tribulations with the dealer who sold me the 748S, and all money I have had to put into this bike, but after a great ride on it last Saturday, I know it was all worth it.
As instructed by Motocorse, the shop who did the engine rebuild and other repairs, I have been breaking in the motor the proper way. The bike rides great, is way more nimble than my 749 and it still makes people stop or look to admire it.

With a new engine, I hope to have it with me for a long time to come. Next is a track day to see what it (and I) can do. Below is a photo of it from Saturday at a rest stop in the Florida Everglades.
Cheers!
