2007 1098S -shutoff ISSUES - Ducati.ms

a friend owns a 2007 1098 s w/ 3.5k on the odo and has run into idle/shutoff problems . stock bike , no mods .the thing just shuts off cold/hot w/o warning . the owner has tried a duc manipulator with no results . it just shuts off randomly .
local ducati dealer has verified cpu recall numbers from ducati for that model year 1098s and unfortunately , friend's bike is not listed .
anyone know a shop/dealer that can help solve this problem? perhaps re-flash stock unit? replace ?exchange?

don't forget to check to kickstand harness connection, I had a random shut off issue with my bike and it turned out this connector wasn't snapped together completely and water got in and corroded the contacts

thanks for that masterrch.
a proven, good stock cpu was installed and no stalling was observed .it seems some of these ecu function better than others or , should i say, some work properly , others do not .
