1098 vs 999 trottle cables

Does the 1098 have the same trottle cables then the 999? I'm looking at a quick action trottle for a 1098 including cables, but I'm not sure if it works on my bike.

From what I've read on Ducati Forums get a '00 R1 throttle tube and be done with it. It pulls up the slack of the 1098 cables and give you a quick throttle. Just ordered mine off ebay for $20 shipped and was sure to get a Yamaha unit not aftermarket.

Yes I know about the Yamaha controle. But I need to know if the 1098 cables are the same as the 999.

The Euro throttle racing kits show 2 different cable kits so they are probably different. Doesnt mean you couldnt make it work possibly.
