Once a Dash has been "married" to an ECU the two theoretically cannot be separated; However, you may have the following options at your disposal:
1. Buy a used dash, along with its married ECU as well as the lockset that is associated with that dash and ECU and install all items on your bike. (note, at this point you'll have a dash with an incorrect odometer reading)
2. Buy a new dash, as well as a new set of locks (A new keycode card would come with the lockset) and have the new dash married to your existing ECU. (you'll once again have a dash with an incorrect odometer reading)
3. Buy a used dash and have your ECU "re-programmed" to remove the immobilizer function. (again, you'll have an incorrect odometer reading)
4. Buy a used dash and send it along with your ECU, your existing key and possibly your ECU to a company like S.O.S. Diagnostics for re-programming of the dash and extraction of the immobilizer code. (they can usually "correct" the odometer reading to match what your bike actually has in this process)
I would check with Chad at (
S.O.S. Diagnostics - Automotive Programming and Diagnostics) to verify what they can do for you in this case. I recently sent the dash from my 848 to them for extraction of the immobilizer code as the previous owner lost the keycode card. They did a great job and turn around time was very quick.
I think there might be a company in the UK that offers similar services but I can't remember who they are.
Hopefully this helps and best of luck.
